GTA 6 Extended Gameplay Showcase: 27 Minutes of New Vice City Footage Revealed

GTA 6 Finally Gets a Major Gameplay Showcase

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 just became a little easier for fans. Rockstar Games has released Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, giving players nearly 27 minutes of new footage from the highly anticipated game.

The extended presentation initially premiered on Netflix before becoming available through Rockstar's official channels. Rockstar confirmed that the footage was captured entirely from the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

Jason and Lucia Take Center Stage

The footage gives fans a much closer look at the game's two main characters, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.

The pair are shown working together during criminal jobs, dealing with police and spending time in and around Vice City. Their relationship appears to be an important part of the story, rather than simply being a way to switch between two playable characters.

The presentation also shows quieter moments between the two, giving a better idea of their personalities and the world they live in.

More Than Just Shootouts and Car Chases

Rockstar's latest footage shows that GTA 6 isn't only about causing chaos on the streets.

The extended look features driving, shootouts, police pursuits and several activities around the game's world. Players also get glimpses of activities such as basketball, scuba diving and other open-world experiences.

The world of Leonida, including Vice City, appears considerably more detailed and active than what players saw in the previous trailers.

GTA 6 Release Date

Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

For fans who have been waiting years for the next GTA, November suddenly feels both very close and painfully far away. Classic gamer suffering.

What the Extended Look Tells Us

The new footage suggests Rockstar is putting a major emphasis on immersion, character development and a more reactive open world.

While the extended look doesn't reveal everything about GTA 6, it gives fans the clearest official picture yet of what the finished game could feel like.

With the release date approaching, more details are likely to emerge before launch.
